Multi-Use Trail at Freedom Park Being Paved Starting 5/28

Freedom Park

Construction on paving Multi-Use Trail 3 will begin on 5/28/2013 and last for 90 days

UPDATE as of 5/29:  MONDAY, JUNE 3 Trails D & E will be closed for approximately 3 weeks.

The trail will be paved from the entry drive down Multi-Use Trail 3, crossing trail C, across Colby Swamp and ending at Jolly Pond Rd.

The trail has been marked with pink ribbon and string (about chest high). The trail crosses Trail C near Emergency Extraction point 7A. The string crossing Trail C at that location has been cut to allow riders to continue to use Trail C.  As the construction begins, please be aware of vehicular and construction traffic down Multi-Use Trail 3 (which accesses Trails C, D, & E). As construction continues, there will be gravel which can be rode on and small ramps from the gravel crossing to all bike trail entrances and exits. At certain points during construction, Trails D & E will be closed to park users and the TTF entrance to Trail C will likely be temporarily re-routed to Emergency Extraction point 7 or 6 (Gaps or Three Ridges).

Additionally, the right side of the field will be utilized as the staging point for construction materials. Please be aware of construction traffic.
