EVENTS COMING UP

Nov 23 – Trail work at New Quarter starting at 9 am.  There are plans to rebuild some berms and a short re-route.  Please come out and help for a couple of hours.  Bring your bike and ride afterwards.

Dec 7 – Group ride at 10 am at Freedom Park.  If trails are closed at Freedom and it’s not raining, ride will be help at York River State Park.

Night rides Night rides are happening at Harwood’s Mill on Tuesdays and Freedom on Thursdays.  We are still working on permission for rides at New Quarter on Wednesdays and Lake Maury on Thursdays.  Rides begin at 6 pm and we have to be out of the parks by 8 pm.  Every rider should have 2 lights, and no one should be riding alone.  Rides will be canceled if there are not at least 2 riders.  Thank you to everyone who stepped up to be ride leaders.

Dec 21 – Winter Solstice ride and social – Come celebrate the shortest day of the year with a ride at Freedom Park at 5-6:30 pm followed by a potluck at the Interpretive Center.  Not riding, show up anyway (around 6 pm).  Penny is looking for some volunteers to help with this event.

OTHER NOTES

Lost Camera – An EVMA member found a camera at Harwood’s Mill the first week in November with an image of a man on a mountain bike on it.  He is riding a red Trek bike.  If you have lost this camera, or know who it may belong to, please respond to this email so we can get this camera back to the rightful owner.
