EVENTS COMING UP

April 7th Group ride and Dirt Divas ride at Freedom Park starting at 9 followed by a meeting at the Interpretive Center.  We will not be serving lunch.  Please plan to attend.

April 14th - Freedom Park Trail, April 14th JCC will be holding the Single Track Maniac 50K Run.  Trails A and B will be closed until 10 am and D and E will be closed the entire day.  Runners will be on the main entrance road and in the parking areas as the course travels to the entrance of the Park.  Just be aware if you plan to ride there.

April 14th Veteran recognition day at York River State park.  Bike ride at 9am and a picnic at noon.  There will be prizes.  Donations support the Wounded Warrior Project.  Please plan to attend.

April 22nd Next youth bike race at New Quarter Park, 1:30 pm.

April 26-29, 2018 – EVMA spring trip to the Allegrippis Trails at Raystown Lake in Pennsylvania.  The group will stay at the group site in the Meadow Camp at Seven Points.  Registration is open now at www.evma.org.  Cost is $45 per camper in a tent, $55 per camper in an RV. Please also register as a non-camper if you plan to attend but stay elsewhere.  We usually plan on group potluck dinners on Friday and Saturday nights.  Thank you to Justin Hlavin and Eric Van Dusen for coordinating this trip.  Hope to see you there!

OTHER NOTES

The City of Williamsburg has opened a survey for the Master Plan.  Please take time to fill it out. In addition to MTB trails it promotes paved trails, road cycling, and youth programs.

Thank you -  Thanks to everyone who attended the board meeting this past Monday night.  A big Thank You to Gregg Hurley who has volunteered to be the new EVMA VP.  He will assist in coordinating trail work and concentrating on Freedom Park. Welcome Gregg and thank you for volunteering.

Volunteers Still Needed – There are a number of board members who need to step down, so volunteers are needed for the club to continue.   A new president and ride leaders are needed.  Please contact Jim Irby at president@evma.org if you can help in any way.
